Join our established literature group – led by professional lecturer Andy Jurgis – meeting at Tarvin Community Centre for the first time. This Autumn Term the following course is being offered:

Introducing the work of Scottish writer Kathleen Jamie

6 sessions, 2.00 – 4.00 p.m. Mondays 2 October – 13 November (no class on 23 October)

Tarvin Community Centre, Meadow Close, Tarvin CH3 8LY

Course Fee: £84 (including coffee/tea and biscuits and also including a supplement for the room hire)

Kathleen Jamie is a major European writer well-known as both a poet and writer of environmental prose. Kathleen is the current National Poet of Scotland – the Makar. The course will provide an opportunity to discuss her latest prose work – Surfacing – alongside one of her finest books of poetry – The Bonniest Companie.
